Network Marketing vs. Just Selling Your CD

As an Artist it is more important to work on Network Marketing than just Straight Sales.

There are a lot of programs out there that offer a non personal approach to making money online. And you can make a ton of money doing it. But that is like selling your CD to tourists on the street. You sell it make a buck, sometimes literally only a $1, and off they go. Never to be heard from again. No connection.

How is that helping your Music Career? Yeah you get your product out there and make a sale but now what? What kind of feedback are you getting from that type of transaction? How will you be able to market to them again?

For all you know it sits in the bottom of their suitcase on the way back to Belgium, or the opposite can happen. They blast in on their i-pod the entire flight, loving it. Either way you’ll never know.

What good business runs that way? I don’t know of one.

Straight affiliate marketing is that way. You click on the ad and off to clickbank you go. No emails no talking, nothing. Ad – sale, ad- sale, ad- sale. And there is nothing wrong with that, remember I said you can make a lot of money doing it and I do as well. My point here is I use Affiliate Marketing in my funnel. Once I already have the lead. I talk to these people. I know their names and where they are from. It makes me a real person. Not just a flashy Banner. And people need that. I need that.

Back to technique- The good affiliates build a list of buyers capturing their emails before they buy, building their list of customers. Not just cold leads with interest. These people have already bought once. And they will buy again. And that is how some are able to send 5 emails and make 20K. It’s a numbers game.
